For our Office in Windhoek, we are looking for a dynamic Product Assistant to join our Product Division. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading Destination Management Company renowned for crafting unique and memorable travel experiences across Southern Africa.
As a Product Assistant, you will report directly to the Head of Product, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
– Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers. – Request and manage rates, API information, and other essential data from suppliers. – Checking of supplier rates and information and do a year-on-year comparison. – Collaborate with the Terra Nova Sales Team to address rate queries. – Perform routine system maintenance as required. – Setting up of supplier training sessions, product presentations and site inspections. – Organising of educational trips/ workshops for the Sales Team. – Assisting with the planning of Agent Familiarisation trips. – Compiling of agent documentation as required.
Other
– Attend Team Meetings – Maintain a clear, concise, and effective communication style with clients, Management, and the team. – Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote Terra Nova Tours.
Requirements
– Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Travel Industry. – In-depth knowledge of Southern African tourism destinations. – A service-focused approach with the ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines. – A proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. – Strong communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. – Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both clients and suppliers. – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and proven track record in use thereof.
