For our office in Windhoek<\/strong>, we are looking for an experienced Senior Destination Expert <\/strong>to join our team and specialise in designing and selling tailor-made trips across Southern Africa. As a Senior Destination Expert<\/strong>, you will report directly to the FIT Team Leader<\/strong>, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h6>

\u2013 Within Terra Nova\u2019s destination portfolio, design, cost out and sell customised, professional, and competitive leisure travel itineraries in Namibia for FIT clients, tailored to each client\u2019s budget, requirements, and preferences.
\u2013 Communicate effectively via email, phone, and online meetings with clients, answering questions regarding the program offered, handling special requests and\/or concerns promptly.
\u2013 Manage the end-to-end process, including client consultations, itinerary design, booking, accounting, and execution, in line with company policies and procedures.
\u2013 On confirmation, manage all bookings and execute travel programs with the support of a dedicated Travel Assistant to ensure seamless client experiences.
\u2013 Ensure accurate invoicing with suppliers while managing relationships throughout the itinerary planning and execution stages.
\u2013 Efficiently manage your workload, prioritising key clients and urgent requests to meet proposal response times.
\u2013 Collaborate with and provide support to colleagues where necessary.
\u2013 Take immediate action on any client issues or complaints and keep the Team Leader informed in a structured and timely manner.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Requirements<\/strong><\/h6>

\u2013 Diploma or degree in Tourism, Hotel Management or Events Management.
\u2013 Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales within the Travel Industry.
\u2013 In-depth knowledge of Southern African tourism destinations.
\u2013 Proven experience in designing and selling travel programs within Southern Africa.
\u2013 Proven track record of achieving and exceeding Sales Targets.
\u2013 Comprehensive knowledge of Tourplan and WETU systems.
\u2013 Experience related to scheduled tours is an advantage.
\u2013 Must have experience with, and a complete understanding of the German Market and Culture.
\u2013 Proficiency in German is essential, including reading, writing, and conversational skills.
\u2013 A customer-focused approach with the ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.
\u2013 Ability to work extended hours when necessary to meet the demands and high pressure of the Travel Industry.
\u2013 A proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
\u2013 Strong communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
\u2013 Strong commitment to staying informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
\u2013 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and proven track record in use thereof.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
