Unique opportunity to now experience the previously closed Western Section of Etosha National Park

The new Dolomite Camp, which opens in June 2011, is situated in the previously closed Western area of the Etosha National Park. Guests who book at Dolomite Camp have automatic entrance to the previously restricted Western Etosha from both the Okaukuejo side as well as the Otjiovasondo side through the Galton Gate.

This brand new premier camp is built on a dolomite outcrop providing marvellous views across the plains to the north and rolling hills to the south.

The beautifully decorated chalets each boast their own unique view of the surrounding landscape and are completely private. The chalets are spacious, feature wooden floors throughout and have big and comfortable beds. There is a sleeper couch that can fold out to accommodate children. Big doors open to the outside balcony allowing you to feel part of nature. African and European styles have been combined into the unique style of the Lodge. Pathways link them to the spacious main building on the point of the hill, which has the best views of all.

The main building is open plan with intimate seating areas, the dining room and the bar.

Guided game drives will be available, in the morning, late afternoon and at night allowing guests to see parts of the reserve that no other visitors to the park can enter.

Apart from the normal Etosha game viewing a special attraction of the Otjiovasondo area is the opportunity to see both the Plains Zebra and the Mountain Zebra drinking or grazing side by side and spotting the rare Sable Antelope.
