New Lodge opens in the Kalahari
The Kalahari Red Dune Lodge, located eight km south of Kalkrand, opened on 01 October. Arranged around a dry lake, this new property offers 12 rooms, each with a private patio.
Activities at the Lodge include hiking and jogging trails and scenic drives, on which giraffe, zebra, and ostrich are likely to be seen.
Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge is running a project aimed at protecting the devil’s claw plant, threatened by over-exploitation due to the harvesting of its tubers for medicinal purposes.
